Recycling and Trash - Hounsfield, NY

Customers in Water District #1, specifically in the Paddy Hill area, may experience low water pressure until further notice. This temporary reduction is necessary while the old Brownville Bridge is being demolished and is intended to prevent excess pressure from building up in the water lines.

Zoning Fees have been amended with the additional penalty fee for work/use started before obtaining the required zoning permit. The fee will be $200.

The Town of Hounsfield provides residents with free recycling at the transfer site
All residents will be required to show proof of residency for the Town of Hounsfield in order to utilize the Recycling Center
A permit tag will be issued for access once proof of residency has been provided to the employee manning the recycling center or one can be picked up from the clerk at the Town office.
Non-recyclables (dump, trash) will not be accepted
All items will be inspected by a Town employee prior to being disposed of
