Recycling and Trash

• The Town of Hounsfield provides residents with free recycling at the transfer site
• All residents will be required to show proof of residency for the Town of Hounsfield in order to utilize the Recycling Center
• A permit tag will be issued for access once proof of residency has been provided to the employee manning the recycling center or one can be picked up from the clerk at the Town office.
• Non-recyclables (dump, trash) will not be accepted
• All items will be inspected by a Town employee prior to being disposed of

Examples of proof of residency accepted

• Drivers License with a Town address
• Tax ID/Parcel number
• Piece of mail showing Town address
