Where do I vote?
The polling place for Town residents is the Hounsfield Town Office located at 18774 County Route 66, Watertown, NY 13601 The polling place for Village residents is the Village of Sackets Harbor Office located at 112 N. Broad St. Sackets Harbor, NY 13685
How do I register to vote?
You can pick up a voter registration card at the Town Clerk office, post office or online at www.jeffersoncountyny.gov/departments/Elections.
How do I obtain a building permit?
View zoning permit application. You can contact Robert Ball, Zoning Officer at [email protected] or call (315) 681-7395.
How do I register my vehicle?
All motor vehicles are registered through the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles.
How do I get my pet licensed?
Please complete a license application and return it to the Town Clerk.
Who do I call about police-related non-emergencies?
If you are a town resident, please contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. If you are a village resident, please contact the Sackets Harbor Police Department. Please call 911 for all emergencies.
Is there a public swimming pool?
Unfortunately, there is not a public swimming pool in the Town or the Village. However, we are lucky enough to have one of the largest freshwater lakes in our backyard though! A quick trip down NYS Rte 3 is Westcott Beach State Park which has a public swimming area available for visitors.

To reserve one of the Sackets Harbor Village owned park facilities please contact the Village Clerk at (315) 646-3548.
